Hill Country Art Festival in Comfort and Texas Hill County Invitational in Boerne

Sept. 20 is the Comfort Hill Country Art Festival.  Comfort is becoming a new art destination!  San Antonio Magazine this month says "Hill Country Road Trips" and Comfort is one of the beautiful places to visit.  Saturday the 20th is the perfect time to take a road trip and see beautiful art at different locations.   I will be located at 625 High St., Scott and Co Salon.  I will be showing originals as well as lots of cards and prints.  Hope to see you!

 

 

Save the date also for the Texas Hill Country Invitation which is one of two of the biggest art shows in Boerne.  It will be located at the Cana Ballroom right behind St Peters Catholic Church.  The dates for that one are Oct. 17-19.  I hope to see you at one or both of these great shows!

 

Old Town Helotes Art Show Aug. 16-17

I hope you can come to the Old Town Helotes Fine Art Show August 16 from noon-8pm, or August 17 from noon-5pm.  It's always a great show with wine tasting, great art and food.  It's located in a beautiful air conditioned setting at the Gardens of Old Town, 15060 Antonio Dr. , 78023.

Starving Artist Show/San Antonio/ April 5 and 6

I hope you all can join me at the Starving Artist Show next weekend at 418 Villita St. ! The Starving Artist Show has been held since 1963 to give local  unknown artists a chance to show their work and to raise funds to further the ministry of the Little Church among the less fortunate of the city. Part of our sales goes to  the church.

This is an acrylic rainbow trout painted in three 20 by 20 canvases.  It would look great above a sofa for the fishermen out there.

Texas Hill Country Invitaitonal Art Show and Sale 10-18 through 10-20

What a beautiful time to come to the hill country in Boerne.  The TX Hill Country Invitational will be held in the Cana Ballroom right behind St. Peter Catholic Church on Main Street.

Weds.- Thurs. there will be plein air painters throughout Boerne from 7:30 -5pm.

Friday, Oct 18 from 7pm to 9pm will be the Tx Premier Art Preview and Sale plus a silent auction
from the "Paint Out"

Saturday, Oct 19 from 10 -8pm will be the art show, demos and lectures from exhibiting artists.

Sunday , Oct 20 from noon to 3pm the art show continues.

 Another Luckenbach Strut!  I just love all the roosters and chickens in Luckenbach!  They are everywhere.  This one will be at the Old Town Helotes Show August 17-18.  It's 9 by 12 framed in a black frame.

I named this calf Prissy for her beautiful eyes and long lashes! She is framed in a black 8 by 10 frame and painted on a textured board. .  She will also be at Old Town Helotes along with a lot of my other paintings.

Boerne Fest May 18

Here's the next fun event in our beautiful city of Boerne, Texas.  I will be in the art show with my son, Hunter, on Saturday.  I will have original art, prints and cards.  Hunter does awesome woodworking from cutting boards, beautiful boxes, pens, wine stoppers and bottle openers... all from exotic woods.   He will also have a couple birdhouses...Alamo and Gruene Hall.

The 2013 BoerneFest, underwritten by Security Service Federal Credit Union, will demonstrate why Boerne holds the title of the 4th Best Small Town in America. BoerneFest begins on Friday evening  with the lighting of the Cibolo Creek and a free concert on Main Plaza at 7 p.m. featuring Two Tons of Steel, a well known Texas country band.       On Saturday,              the Farmers Market opens at 8:30 a.m. at the back of Main plaza,  then just off Main Street next to Main Plaza visit the  Fine Arts Show and Exhibition at 10 am  with over 40 artists and a variety of fine art from pottery and paintings to sculptures and jewelry. Next door participate in activities designed to engage the kids.  From 1 tol 5 p.m. ribbons of business booths will meander around the Plaza, interspersed with live entertainment, a food court, art displays and activities.  See volunteers building sculptures out of donated canned goods and other items in Donation Creation. Find out exactly why Boerne is such a culture-rich small town.  Spend Saturday evening at the free concert starring the country music legend Gary P. Nunn, an icon of Lone Star music, inducted into the Texas Hall of Fame in 2004. On Sunday              start your day at 10 on a self-guided art walk, affectionately called the Boerne Art Waddle, through the Flats, one of Boerne's beautiful residential areas just off of the Plaza. At noon enjoy lunch in the food court while listening to the free Make a Joyful Noise Concert on Main Plaza featuring Boerne's faith-based community's choirs, ensembles and bands. Boerne Parade of Artists this Next Weekend - April 12-14

 Come on out to Boerne this next weekend for the 17th annual Boerne Parade of Artists.  This will be my 4th time to participate and it always has been a great show....complimentary hors d'oeuvres and wine the whole weekend too!  Can't beat that!

  I will be at the Chamber of Commerce on Main Street with 8 other artists so it's a great stop on your tour.  There will also be a trolley Saturday night if you want to ride to the different locations!

I will be selling original art, cards,  note cards, and canvas prints.

 Hours:    Friday, April 12 from 5 to 8 ;  Saturday April 13 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. ;  and Sunday April 14 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
