As usual, Becky is always a good spender!  Thanks Beck!  Thanks to my other friends who showed up,drank some wine, visited, and supported me.   Muchas Gracias!  You are all wonderful friends!

Two More Paintings for Upcoming Shows

I wasn't happy with the last sunset so I tried it again. This one was done on watercolor paper with an acrylic wash and then painted over with pastel.  I think I am happier with this "Texas Sunset".
The second painting is titled "Top of the Morning to You".  It is pastel on sanded paper.  A little impressionistic in the background.  I think I am happy wtih this one too.  Love the colors!
I will probably frame them both and have them for the two shows that I talk about in my previous blog.

Summers Almost Over and the Heat is On! Time for Some Art!

After several months of household repairs, I am finally getting the painting bug again!  Just took two paintings to Inspire Fine Art Center for their Inspire's On Fire Juried Show!  Last year I won an award for my rooster, so keep your fingers crossed for this one!  I took in my baby longhorn and calf lounging in the grass.  I'm trying to get a good name....Peaceful Companionship?  The Grass is Aways Greener....?  Friends on Both Sides of the Fence?  Any ideas?  It is 16 by 20 and I also am getting some prints made.
Mark your calendars for Oct 13 Wednesday night happy hour at Wine Styles at the Rim. I will be showing my art, cards, and prints along with wine, beer, Sangria and fun!  It's a happy hour for women, but along with women, come men!  So come on over....I know it's two months  away, but I will send out reminders!
Remember that I do animal commissions....make great presents and the holidays are around the corner!

Oh that Sangria Wine!  (this one is framed 9 by 13) Those who know me, are well aware of my Sangria Wine!!

JUNE ARTARAMA TENT SALE

I am finally coming up for breath after 2 months of work at my home in San Antonio that was flooded from a pipe leak, and then roof and garage door damage from the big storm we had a few weeks ago!
Plus, I  just took my sister to the airport after a wonderful week of non stop going and visiting!  Lots of fun! See the picture of Serengetti Resort!  We were almost eaten by wild animals! :)

Time to refocus and think about art again!

Don't forget to visit the New Braunfels Art League before the National Juried Show ends on June 29th!  There is some beautiful art to see and lots of inspiration.

Come visit the June ARTarama tent and backyard ART sale featuring 4 artists  this weekend Saturday thru Sunday June 26 the 27th.  Address is 8603 Waldon Sts. San Antonio, 78254.  I will be showing some original art, prints, cards, and copper pendants.  The yard is shaded with a tent, so hopefully we will all survive the June weather!

Spring is Finally Here!!

Love this spring time weather!  I've been busy painting during this cold winter so thought I might post a few paintings.  They are all available and for sale, so please call me with any questions and prices.
I was accepted into the BPA (Boerne Professional Artists) group and am excited about an upcoming show the end of April. It's called the Parade of Art and there are some absolutely awesome artists in the group. I hope you can come visit. I'll send more information later.
This one is named "Hill Country Apples".  It is matted in an acid free beige mat and framed with a reddish brown frame that measures 10 by 20.  It looks great in the frame (if I don't say so myself).

As I was taking a walk around the area, I saw a beautiful agave plant and took a  picture.... Loved the lights filtering through the plant. This one is 16 by 20.  It is not framed yet but I would be happy to put it in a black or brown, or whatever frame you want.  Love the colors!
This painting has two panels with the wild flower,Texas Star Hibiscus, and the Ruby Throated Hummingbird that are making their way through the hill country right now.  This pastel is painted on a textured board and measures 10 by 20 each.  I love the bright reds.
I hope you all have a wonderful spring and get out and enjoy our beautiful wildlife and plants!

Longhorns were imported from Spain around 1493. They are tough, hardy, endure through all kinds of weather, sometimes mean and have a strong survival instinct!  Go Texas Longhorns!

I have many more paintings available....from eagles to hummingbirds to flowers and sunsets!  Feel free to contact me with any questions.
